Flooring installation and fitting

Laying wooden flooring is highly specialist and much depends on the underlying surface. Coatech can undertake preparation including:

• Ensuring overall fabric of building has dried out
• All wet work such as concrete, plastering is completed and dry
• Dehumidifying as necessary
• Ensuring existing flooring is in good condition, level and free from rot and fungus
• Installation of damp-proof membrane if needed
• Checking ambient conditions are within the ranges of 15°-27 C°
• Leaving expansion gaps around the perimeter of the floor

We use a range of Italian adhesives specifically manufactured for the timber flooring market, selecting the relevant adhesive for the individual situation.

Finally we sand if necessary, remove all dust and use the finish of your choice from a selection of oil, wax or water-based sealants.
